Rondegat offers airy and spacious cottages and a scenic 15km 4X4 trail, all with splendid views of the Clanwilliam dam and surrounding mountains and citrus orchards.
Situated only 15 km from Clanwilliam, it is the ideal base for exploring the town and nearby Cederberg area, or for a weekend or holiday of water sport on the dam.
Bring your boat, 4X4, mountain bike, walking shoes, fishing rod or just a good book.
Fishing possibilities include lure fishing (Black Bass) in the Clanwilliam dam, as well as
fly-fishing in the upper Rondegat and Olifants Rivers.
You can also enjoy bird watching and short hikes in the orchards or along the pristine Rondegat mountain stream.
Two canoes available at no extra cost.

THE COTTAGES
The four Rondegat Cottages share a pool, sleeps 5/6 persons (2 bedrooms) and 6/8 persons (3 bedrooms). The kitchens are fully equipped and all cottages have outside braai's and some have inside fire places.
French doors open onto shaded stoeps from where lovely views and sunsets can be enjoyed.
Bedlinen is provided, bring own towels or alternatively make use of the available towel hire.

A delightful , spacious 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom house with 3 sliding doors onto the front stoep to enjoy splendid views, private pool on the patio and inside fire place for chilly weather. Full kitchen and dining room. One full bathroom and one en-suite.

Please make sure you take this with !! no fun getting lost in the dark with no cell reception

From Cape Town: your turnoff is 25km before Clanwilliam. Take the Algeria/Cederberg turn-off to the right from the N7 ( 25 km past Citrusdal ). Follow dirt road for 1,2 km to bridge, cross Olifants river and turn left directly after bridge, proceed for 13 km ( Old Cape Road) and turn right at Welcome Rondegat sign.

From the North: Use the route through Clanwilliam Main street and right into Ou Kaapse Weg/Old Cape Way when travelling from the north or when the Algeria bridge is flooded. Do not use a GPS in Clanwilliam- it takes you through the informal settlement. Once on the 14km gravel road, Ou Kaapse Weg, (now you turn on the GPS) do not take any turnoffs, especially not the left turnoff to Cederberg/Jamaka.
